After deciding at very late notice that we wanted to head out for a bank holiday family meal, we set foot to Osborne Road in search of a baby friendly restaurant. Poking my head through Circolo’s door to check a highchair was available, and a friendly waiter informing us there was, we knew this was the spot for us.

We were seated on a good size table and almost immediately offered a drink, being a bank holiday and of course in an italian pizzeria we went straight for the prosecco, when in Rome…! I have to say, it was the best prosecco I have tasted.

It was pretty tricky choosing our mains, as I was tempted to get the same as I had on my previous visit because it was so darn good, but thought I better try something new. I went for the Piccante al Pecorino which was a deliciously spicy and meaty feast, and my husband went for the Carnivoro – meat and more meat but calzone style. He wasn’t let down, thats for sure. The girls shared an Americano, which kept them quiet for a while.

For desert we went a little chocolate mad. We had a warm chocolate fondant and chocolate ice cream between us and I had a coffee to myself.

This was my second trip to Circolo in the last couple of months and it certainly won’t be my last. What I love about the place is it’s rustic and relaxed feel along with the great choice of atmospheric music. The customer service was great and they were extremely accommodating. When choosing the pizza for the girls, they offered to adapt the menu to create smaller sized pizza’s for them. But as they were having the same, we thought they might as well share.

If you’re ever down Osborne Road in need of a proper italian pizza then this is the place to go.
